Russian President Vladimir Putin has demolished the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, citing a preference for Joe Biden over Donald Trump because of the current US president's predictability and experience.
During an official television interview reported by the Financial Times on Wednesday, Putin broke his silence about the American political scene. He described Biden as “a more experienced, predictable, old-school politician.”
“Biden, more experienced, more predictable, is an old-fashioned politician,” Putin said.
He added: “But we will work with any American leader whom the American people trust.”
Putin's comments come a day after Biden criticized Trump for surrendering to Russia, calling for bipartisan support to provide additional aid to Ukraine.
Putin's comments also come a day after journalists Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbi said the Trump-Russia collusion story was not the result of foreign intelligence but rather a deliberate setup by the CIA during the Obama-Biden administration.
Allegations of Trump's sympathies with the Kremlin have been a consistent topic since his tenure in the White House, with US intelligence agencies alleging Russian interference in the 2016 election to support Trump's campaign against Hillary Clinton.
The Financial Times reported:
Putin noted on Wednesday that concerns about Biden's age and mental ability were part of the “increasingly fierce” US election campaign and said he had seen no evidence that his counterpart was unqualified for the job.
At their last meeting in Geneva in 2021, Putin noted that “they were already saying that Biden was incompetent.” [ . . . ] But I've never seen anything like this. Yes, he looked at his notes, and to be honest, I looked at mine. not important. So he hit his head on the helicopter as he was getting out, and who among us hasn't hit their head on something?
Despite his cautious support for Biden, Putin said US policy toward Russia was “harmful and wrong” and suggested Trump was right to question NATO's future.
The United States has provided crucial military and financial aid to Ukraine since Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of the country two years ago, but is struggling to secure congressional support for a new $60 billion round of funding amid a wave of Republican hostility led by Trump. .
The former US president, who is certain to challenge Biden as the Republican nominee in November, said last week that he would encourage Russia to do “whatever the hell they want” to NATO countries that have not met their defense spending targets.
Naturally, Putin prefers Joe Biden, as he considers him a weak president. Putin did not invade Ukraine under Trump.
It can be recalled that Trump confirmed that he had previously warned Putin that he would bomb Moscow if he moved to Ukraine during a phone call with the legendary golfer John Daly.

Imagine if Putin expressed a preference for Trump, the far-left, fake news media would spend a week teasing Trump regarding the compliment to Putin.
Fake news media have previously taken President Donald Trump's words out of context to advance a far-left agenda.
Kristen Welker of NBC's “Meet the Press” interviewed Donald Trump and asked him this loaded question, quoting Russian President Vladimir Putin:
“Certainly, we are hearing that Mr. Trump says he will resolve all hot-button issues within several days, including the Ukraine crisis. “We can only feel happy about that.”
Trump responded by saying “I like that he said that” and the mainstream media was relentlessly reporting that Trump was cheering, kissing, “jumping for joy” and thrilled to receive praise from the Russian president.
