feeo – the moniker of multi-disciplinary musician and artist Theodora Laird – has unveiled a new song titled “tnteen”. It has been lifted from an upcoming EP Skips, which will be released on March 21. Listen below.
“‘Tnteen’ focuses on explosives as a physical and political representation of excess, directly linked to the exploitation and depletion of land through gemstone mining,” Laird explained in a statement.
Skips Follows last year Ah, hunger! People's Army. “Ah, hunger! It was the anatomy of scarcity. Laird commented: “The absence of consent, and the politics of desire.” “the Skips The EP is, to some extent, the opposite of these themes, and is meant to be read in relation to them Ah, hunger!. Skips Focuses on overindulgence – the downfall that follows satiation. This theme is present narratively throughout the writing, but it is also an integral part of my approach to producing each piece of music. Sonically, I was exploring the dynamics between excess and sparseness as a conscious reflection of the broader themes underpinning the project.
