Former President Donald Trump took to social media on Sunday to claim that radical liberal singer Taylor Swift cannot endorse Joe Biden because he is the “worst, most corrupt president.” It came hours before Swift attended the Super Bowl to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce when his Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Trump seems down on Swift
Although Swift proudly endorsed Biden in 2020, Trump doesn't think she'll be able to do so this time.
“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other music artists. Joe Biden has never done anything for Taylor, and he never will,” Trump said.
He continued: “It is impossible for her to support fraudster Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country, and to be disloyal to the man who made her so much money.” “Besides, I love my boyfriend Travis, even though he may be a liberal and probably can't stand me!”

Swift's coveted endorsement
Swift has yet to endorse any candidate in this year's presidential election, but her endorsement is already in high demand. Last month, a Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll for Newsweek found that eighteen percent of voters said they were “more likely” or “much more likely” to vote for any candidate Swift supports.
Meanwhile, 17% said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate supported by Swift, and 55% said they would not be swayed either way by the “Anti-Hero” singer. A total of 45 percent of people who responded to the survey said they were Swift fans, while 54 percent said they were not.
“It affected popular culture, sports, and the economy of entire regions of the United States,” communications consultant James Haggerty said. “So why not politics and elections?”
“Swift is in a class on her own,” media consultant Brad Adgett added. “She's so talented, so popular, so ingrained in popular culture. No one comes close to her.”

Swift attacks Trump
This poll appears to be bad news for Trump, as Swift has been open about her opposition politically. Back in 2020, Swift accused Trump of “fanning the flames of white supremacy and racism” in response to comments he made condemning the violence that spread across the country in the wake of George Floyd's death.
“After fanning the flames of white supremacy and racism throughout your presidency, do you have the audacity to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?” she wrote on social media at the time, according to the Daily Mail. “When the looting starts, the shooting starts”??? We will vote for you in November. @RealDonaldTrump.
In her Netflix documentary “Miss Americana,” Swift spoke about how much she regrets not publicly opposing Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
“I like Taylor's music 25% less now,” Trump said in response.
Swift accuses Trump of 'gaslighting'
Swift told The Guardian in 2020 that Trump “gaslights the American public.”
“We are a democracy — at least we're supposed to be — where you're allowed to disagree, to dissent, to debate,” she said at the time. “I really think he believes this is an authoritarian regime.”
Swift also accused Trump of cheating in the 2020 presidential election, Fox News reported.
“Trump’s deliberate dismantling of the USPS clearly proves one thing: He is well aware that we do not want him as our president,” she said. “He chose to blatantly cheat and put the lives of millions of Americans at risk in an attempt to cling to power.”
As of this writing, Swift has not yet responded to Trump's recent comments about her. Only time will tell if Trump is right in saying that Swift will not be able to endorse Biden this time.
