bdrmm has released a new song called “Standard Tuning”. The track follows October's single “Mud” by the Hull-based shoegaze band. Take a listen below.
“‘Standard Tuning’ is an important track in the shifting development of our creative process, as it was a collaboration between Jordan and myself,” singer Ryan Smith explained in a statement. “I created the loop using techniques like stretching and cutting samples, and Jordan added synthetics and drum processing and structured it into the track you hear now. Lyrically, the lyrics came in the wake of losing an old childhood friend. Despite not speaking to someone for years, That you still felt an air of distress and loss. This passing affected the Hull community in a way that was impossible not to be affected by. The song is about loss and a tribute to old friends.
bdrmm LP II, I don't knowarrived last year.
