At a news conference held by House Republicans last week to promote a resolution declaring that former President Trump did not participate in insurrection, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) called on Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams, to question its validity. to the results of previous elections.
Representative Luna: Thank you. To follow up on what Representative Crane said. You know, we have the ability and the tools at our disposal to find terrorists in the caves of the Middle East, so you can't find someone who planted a pipe bomb. This is so terrible. But we have evidence that the government actually helped cover up what was happening.
And I'll direct you all to what happened during the moderation, where we actually debriefed Twitter. Twitter 1.0. We've seen that under DHS, CISA was actually working to not only suppress information to include the President's statement to remain peaceful on January 6th. Do you remember how he said that? However it was nowhere to be seen on social media.
That's because these outlets, whether it's Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, all work to suppress that information. But I wonder why. I wonder why they want to do that. That's because this president is truly a man beyond the control of DC. And frankly, that's why everyone, I'm pretty sure, is rooting for him to be re-elected, and he'll win in November.
But I want to ask you all the questions about whether or not you think we should charge someone like Hillary Clinton with insurrection. Someone like Stacey Abrams with rebellion? Because they all claim to have won the election. We know Hillary Clinton was full of that. We know this because we saw what came out.
In fact, you guys know that…. Adam Schiff got censored because of it. There was no evidence of Russian collusion.
So I want to conclude by saying this. What we've seen happen over the last two years has been not only disheartening, as a member of Congress, to witness the extent to which people here have actually used that lie, used that narrative, not only to discredit President Trump, but to discredit President Trump. Tearing this country apart. But I applaud what Rep. Gaetz did. And what I will say is that these sociopaths who continue to push this lie, once we have this on the ground, if you continue to push this, you will all be guilty of violating home privilege. OK?
Because we say that didn't happen. We have evidence to support this. So think about that a little. Without further ado, I'd like to introduce my dear friend and colleague from Florida, Corey Mills.
He watches:
Polina pointed to comments from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who said unequivocally: “We are here today to formally state that President Trump did not commit an insurrection and we believe Congress has the unique role in making this declaration.”
