As technology continues to revolutionize industries and change the nature of daily life, the future of work may seem uncertain. Virginia Tech's Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) brings together a broad range of expertise to discuss this topic during the Future of Human-Centered Work Symposium.

“This event will primarily identify the most important issues that have political implications,” said Sokin “Su” Ji, Director of ICAT’s Center for Future Workplaces and Practices. “We aim to create innovative areas of translational research, develop a roadmap for our future research initiatives, and position the Center as a global leader in the future of work and education research.”

The Center will host this event on November 3 from 8:30am to 4:30pm in Room 2420 of the North End Center. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance; Seats are limited. Researchers from a variety of fields will participate in the conversation, including healthcare, higher education, privacy, security, and design, all of which are critical to shaping the future of work.

The symposium, sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and the Kohl Centre, AAEC, will also include a policy roundtable discussion aimed at seeking common ground on the human-centred future of work.
