Harold Ford Jr. believes Special Counsel Robert Hoare's report detailing the president's struggles with cognitive reasoning means his party needs to start having uncomfortable conversations about replacing Joe Biden.
Ford, a former Democratic congressman from Tennessee and current Fox News contributor, believes the report is evidence that Biden has “lost his sense of urgency.”
The Hoare report noted that the president would not be indicted in the matter because he was “a well-intentioned elderly man with a weak memory” and it would be difficult to persuade a jury to convict someone so weak.
According to the report, Biden “did not remember when he was vice president” or “when his son Beau died,” and showed “diminished abilities” and “significant limitations” during his interview with the special counsel.
“I think these questions are going to come up more now,” Ford told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade. He added: “This has been a difficult night for the president, and I think many in the Democratic Party, which is my party, will have serious questions about what this means.”

Ford believes his party needs to talk about replacing Biden
Two things come to mind regarding Ford's comments that Democrats need to consider replacing President Biden on the Democratic ticket.
First, not only has he “lost his fastball” by this report, his fastball is long gone. Good of you for catching up.
Second, has Ford been in a bit of a fog for the past three years? These questions were “at the forefront” throughout his tenure in the White House.
Ford made it clear in those clips of Biden's news conference angrily declaring that he “knows what the hell he's doing” and that the special counsel's report is set to become fodder for a campaign against an already deeply unpopular president.
“This last night will be the final announcement in the campaign against President Biden as we get into November,” he said.
“The question is, are Democrats willing to move forward between now and November with a nominee that many in the country may not believe can hold office for four more?” [years]?” he added.

Amendment 25?
Ford went on to point out President Biden's debacle in a press conference — in which he referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as “the president of Mexico” and forgot the name of the church where the rosary he wears “every day.” In honor of his son – it was proof of what the special counsel's report had discovered.
“I think President Biden last night, even in that interview, even in the press conference there, showed a lot of Americans what Mr. Hoare wrote,” he said.
Ford added that he thought it was highly unlikely that Biden would have to stop his re-election campaign before yesterday's events.
“But as of now, I think Democrats are going to have to deal with this over the next few weeks and months,” he added. “And there are a few seniors in the party who could maybe have that conversation, and we'll see if they do.”
Republicans escalated their calls for Biden's Cabinet to activate the Twenty-fifth Amendment.
Contrary to Ford's suggestion Democrats As they grapple with the issue, they appear content to defend Biden despite clear signs that he is physically or mentally unable to carry out the duties of president of the United States.
Rep. Susan Wild (D-Pa.) loudly defended Biden after a closed-door meeting with Democrats.
“He did well in this discussion with members,” Wilde told NBC News. “He is very intelligent, has no memory problems, and his only stumble is when he stumbles over words that match the speech impediment he has suffered from all his life.”
Apparently, the stutter caused Biden, in the meeting to which Wild refers, to declare that he was the leader of both red and “Green countries“.
