Shanelle B. Harris, MPA, Bladenboro City Manager, has announced the agenda for the upcoming Bladenboro City Commissioners meeting scheduled for February 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held at Bladenboro City Hall located at 411 Ivy Street, Bladenboro, NC 28320It promises to address critical issues affecting the growth and development of society.
The agenda includes several important items:
1. Public hearing: An application for a special use permit for a mobile home park at 111 and 201 Midway Dr. will be considered, and the public is invited to contribute and discuss this matter.
2. Approval agenda: Approval of the agenda will be reviewed, along with staff reports and board minutes from previous meetings. In addition, Budget Amendment No. 9 will be considered.
3. Old businessDiscussions on organizational structure and salary scale will continue to address important administrative issues.
4. New business: Key items include announcing delinquent 2023 taxes, along with reiterating the special use permit application for the Mobile Home Park. The resignation of Chief William Howell will also be acknowledged, followed by the appointment of an interim police chief and discussions on police pay and mass notice rates. Furthermore, consideration of surplus property will be deliberated.
5. Closed sessionThis session shall not be held unless the Council deems it necessary.
