Despite the best efforts of many Western journalists, former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson was given a rare opportunity to interview Vladimir Putin.
Carlson has long been a source of ire in the Murdoch-controlled network, entertaining millions with his views on right-wing politics and conspiracies.
Before joining Fox, his most famous media appearance was hosting Crossfire on CNN, when in 2004 Daily Show host Jon Stewart was infamously shown clashing with Carlson and criticizing the show itself.

After Crossfire was canceled, Carlson ended up at Fox, where he became one of the loudest voices in conservative media.
In 2018, advertisers pulled sponsorship and boycotted the show after it said immigrants were making the United States “poorer, dirtier and more divided.”
He has also been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump's claims that the 2020 election was rigged, and, along with his fellow Fox hosts, has openly promoted the conspiracy theory to his viewers, all while privately mocking Trump's allies and calling him a “satanic force.”
Tucker has since parted ways with the network and moved to Elon Musk's X, formerly Twitter, to host a new show. This is also where we'll be following his big interview soon.
