HYBE LABELS' girl group I'LL-IT is gaining attention after their latest dance practice video. The K-Pop girl group allegedly used the choreography of popular dancer Kelly Sweeney and did not give her credit. This led to mixed reactions from fans and netizens.

On February 6, I'LL-IT released the third episode of their reality show I will be ready!, Where it looks like they performed Kelly Sweeney's choreography to Bad Bunny's song Marmoset asked me. The choreographer quickly took to Instagram to share some side-by-side clips showing a comparison between her choreography and I'LL-IT's dance rehearsals.

She revealed that her friend sent her the video. The five-member girl group was accused of stealing her choreography moves. The clips shared by the choreographer on X went viral, receiving mixed reactions from fans with many blaming agencies and dance directors for the routine.

Some fans sided with the girl group because they thought they didn't choose the dance routine themselves. They demanded that BELIFT and HYBE LABELS give credit to the choreographer. “Never get over plagiarism allegations,” one user on X said.

'They stole the whole dance': HYBE is under fire for allegedly stealing choreographer Kelly Sweeney's famous dance routine

On February 6, BELIFT released the third episode of the series I'll be ready! where the girl group was seen performing Ty Frankel's song creative. However, the choreography is allegedly taken from Bad Bunny's Kelly Sweeney routine Marmoset asked me.

The agency did not claim the choreography as its own, but did not give credit to Kelly Sweeney or any other artist. A day later, on February 7, Kelly Sweeney posted a video on Instagram and expressed her disappointment.

    Kelly Sweeney wrote,

“As an artist and choreographer, and someone who dedicates their life to creating original moves and does it for a living, it's very frustrating to see people take your steps without any credit. As much as I'm flattered that their choreographer liked it so much that he learned it, and changed the song ( smiley icon), and did so in their video.

She also tagged BELIFT, HYBE LABELS, and a K-pop group that has yet to debut, and said:

“It is never okay to plagiarize and not give credit. Especially when it's a group of artists. Please do better @illit_official @hybe.labels.audition @beliftlab.

Fans are divided online with some believing that I'LL-IT only covered the dance performance and did not use it for the original song. However, some say it was stolen and demanded that BELIFT take responsibility for the issue, as the girl group has not yet debuted.

I'LL-IT is a K-pop girl group formed through JTBC's reality survival show ru next? Managed by ENHYPEN agency, BELIFT, a subsidiary of HYBE LABELS.
