Tonight: It will become partly cloudy to partly cloudy but not cold. Lows are in the upper 30s to lower 40s. You will need your jacket in the morning.

ThursdayHumidity will begin to return before a cold front and with the return of southern winds to the state. The weather will be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping by a few degrees with highs in the 60s.

A cold front will move toward Alabama on Friday with a weak upper-level wave. The weather will be mostly cloudy with some showers during the day. It will remain moderate with highs in the mid 60s.

Weekend forecast: The front will stall across Alabama on Saturday as high southwesterly flow prevents it from moving east. A stronger upper level wave will move across the state bringing us heavy rain and storms throughout the day. We will be mild and wetter with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

The front remains stalled across Alabama on Sunday, and a second upper-level wave moves over the area. Together, they will bring us more scattered showers and some storms that will stick around into Monday morning. High temperatures remain in the 60s.

Rainfall totals will be around 1-3″ across Alabama. At this time, we will not see any major flooding issues.
