The sales figure was enough to surpass the record high of $95.94 at last year's Grammy Awards. With nearly 11,000 people in attendance, Levi's' final food sales figure on Sunday evening (February 4) was more than $1 million. The 66th Grammy Awards also generated merchandise sales of $5.14 per attendee, featuring items designed and manufactured by the Recording Academy and sold by Crypto.com retail partner Levy Rank + Rally.
Zeidman says painting The event went flawlessly with no operational setbacks despite the massive storm that dumped record rainfall over much of the Southern California area.
“Despite the weather conditions, this was one of the most memorable Grammys AEG has hosted at Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater, and LA Live,” says Zeidman. “We experienced our best per-capita sales in the building's history, with our amazing team working under extreme conditions to pull off one of the most successful Grammy Awards in the 21 years we've hosted this event.”
Crypto.com Arena opened in the fall of 1999 and has hosted the Grammy Awards 21 times over the past 25 years. Zeidman said per-game concessions at the Grammy Awards are 50% higher than at the venue's major sporting events, including the NBA Finals, NHL Finals and the NBA All-Star Game.
Viewership for the 2024 Grammy Awards was up 34% from last year, with an average of 16.9 million viewers, marking the show's largest audience since 2020.
