Red Bull Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner is under investigation by his team after being accused of “inappropriate behaviour”.
The claim is understood to have been made by another member of the Britain-based team, the Palestinian news agency reported.
The 50-year-old, who is married to former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell and has been Red Bull Racing team principal since 2005, strongly refuted the accusation.
“I completely deny these allegations,” Horner said.
A spokesman for Red Bull – the Austrian energy drinks company that owns the Formula 1 team – told the PA: “After becoming aware of some recent allegations, the company has launched an independent investigation.
“This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist lawyer.
“The company takes these matters seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practicable. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”
Horner has been team director at Red Bull since joining F1 For nearly 19 years, he has overseen seven World Drivers' Championships and six Constructors' titles.
Last season, one of the team's drivers, Max Verstappenwon the World Championship for the third time in a row.
