Kylian Mbappe has reportedly decided where he will play for his club next season.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has found himself in a drawn-out transfer battle with Real Madrid and Liverpool among the clubs vying for his signature.
Mbappe's current contract in Paris expires at the end of the current season, when he will become a free player.
According to French outlet Le Parisien, the 25-year-old has decided that he will join Real Madrid when this deal expires in the summer.
Real Madrid are said to be optimistic that a deal can be done for Mbappe who is expected to sign a contract that will see him take a pay cut from his current terms at Paris Saint-Germain.
But the star is said to be negotiating terms that would see him become Los Blancos' top earner.
Real Madrid have long been eyeing a deal for Mbappe, but several suitors have also been linked to the World Cup winner.
Liverpool are claimed to be “serious candidates” to convince the speedster to move to the Premier League.
While Paris Saint-Germain is said to be doing its best to convince Mbappe to stay at Parc des Princes.
After Foot RMC reported that the Ligue 1 side are willing to offer their man an unprecedented contract that would see him earn £1.8 million ($A3.48 million) per week.
The Parisians have reportedly accepted a world-record £259 million ($501 million) bid for Mbappe from Saudi club Al Hilal in the summer.
But the former Monaco man turned down the opportunity to ply his trade in the Middle East in favor of remaining in Europe.
Mbappe has been free to negotiate with clubs outside Ligue 1 since January 1 as he approaches the final six months of his contract.
He continues to impress on the pitch despite the speculation surrounding his future.
