Joe Rogan has a new deal from Spotify to continue his podcast worth $250 million.
This news comes at the same time the media is laying off people left and right. It just goes to show how far anyone can go when they create something of value. Journalists are being laid off because the public increasingly distrusts them and does not want their products. On the other hand, Rogan creates a product that millions of people want.
Leftists don't want Rogan to be heard because he doesn't play by their rules and sometimes talks to and even listens to conservatives. There was a point where left-wing employees at Spotify were demanding their company drop Rogan. Obviously this will never happen.
Hill reports:
Joe Rogan has struck a $250 million deal with Spotify, including distribution on YouTube
Joe Rogan, the popular podcaster and media personality, has inked a new distribution deal with audio provider Spotify for “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
The deal, valued at up to $250 million, according to the Wall Street Journal, includes a minimum upfront guarantee as well as a revenue-sharing agreement based on ad sales. The newspaper pointed out that in a deviation from his first deal with the company, under the new deal, Spotify will sell ads for Rogan’s program and distribute it in video format on YouTube.
Rogan started his podcast in 2009 and has grown in popularity in the years since. He was catapulted to mega-star status by his first deal with Spotify in 2020, worth $200 million.
The former comedian and “Fear Factor” host has sparked controversy on a number of occasions with his commentary on the coronavirus pandemic, politics and other current events. He has faced particular backlash for spreading misinformation related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
The left tried hard to bring him down. See how the New York Daily News describes him in this tweet.
