Copenhagen: Not all heroes wear capes. Some don't wear anything at all.
With only towels around their waists, pioneers of a floating sauna in a Norwegian fjord rescued two people whose car fell into the water.
The Tesla appears to have left the dock on Thursday (local time) in Akershustranda, a ship docking area at the foot of Norway's picturesque medieval castle and citadel.
A witness told the Norwegian VG The newspaper reported that he saw the car stopped, before it suddenly accelerated and ended up in the water. The newspaper reported that the driver thought the car was stationary when he pressed the accelerator.
When the car fell, its two occupants escaped and were on the roof of the car while the sauna raft was heading towards them.
Nikolai Nordahl, commander, said: VG “I did the best I could toward the people who got out of the car” and reached them once the car was down.
“With good help from two of the guests, we were able to wake them up. They warmed up in the sauna.”
Vladislav Nikiforov, 51, who witnessed the accident while out for a walk, said the car “jumped” over a barrier in front of the water.
