An aide to Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) who filmed a sex video with another man in Room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building late last year will not be charged.
Aidan Maese-Czeropski has been identified by multiple outlets as the man who appeared in the graphic video published by The Daily Caller last December.
Cardin fired the aide and Maes-Cherubski suggested he was the victim of a homophobic political agenda.
“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for pursuing a political agenda,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post.

Capitol Police: Having sex in the Senate is not a crime
Maese-Czeropski was under investigation and facing possible criminal charges after the sexually explicit video was filmed inside the Senate chambers.
The Capitol Police, according to Punch Bowl News founder Jake Sherman, issued a statement updating their investigation.
The update is that the case is closed.
“At this time, we are closing the investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the sex video that was recorded inside the Hart Senate Office Building on the morning of Wednesday, December 13,” the statement read.
The statement adds: “After consulting with federal and local prosecutors, as well as conducting a comprehensive investigation and reviewing potential charges, it was determined that — despite the potential violation of congressional policy — there is currently no evidence that a crime was committed.” .

Carden's assistant was not cooperative
Oh, wouldn't it be nice to know that having sex in the Senate is perfectly acceptable? I mean, don't be upset about your date at the local theater. This, my friend, is unacceptable.
But sex in the Senate is totally awesome. Maybe the senators will now start their own OnlyFans accounts and film live in the chamber.
There was a time when Democrats argued they were the party of decency. Now the contradictions between them and the Republicans have become completely clear.
Gay sex on the Senate floor? certainly. Walk peacefully through the Capitol (majority)? It's time to decorate your prison cell.
Coca-Cola in the White House? Yawning. Sitting silently in prayer in an abortion clinic? Don't make plans for the next decade.
Flashing your breasts at people at a formal White House event? Yay! Are you complaining about the curriculum at your local school? Terrorists!
We sure would hate to see what it would look like as adults It wasn't Back in charge.
The Capitol Police statement confirms that both individuals involved in the Senate sex tape did not cooperate with the investigation. Why this is necessary is a mystery since the incident was captured on film.
