Elon Musk wondered about the situation in America after news emerged that a Navy Reserve veteran was charged with a hate crime for vandalizing the statue of Satan in the Iowa State Capitol.
Considering what radical leftists have done to statues across this country for years now, the additional charge shocked many.
According to the Des Moines Register, Michael Cassidy was charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief. Cassidy, a former congressional candidate, admitted to destroying the statue — a loose term given that the satanic display was invented using household items and was not a real statue by definition.
However, prosecutors added a charge of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony under Iowa's hate crimes law.

Charged with a hate crime for damaging a fake devil statue
Len Hicks, a spokesman for the Polk County District Attorney's Office, explained to the Record why the Navy Reserve vet was charged with a hate crime for destroying Left-wing pasta art project Devil statue.
“The evidence shows that the defendant made statements to law enforcement and the public indicating that he destroyed property because of the victim’s religion,” Hicks said.
You have to be a special person to stand up for the devil, Mrs. Hicks, but you do.
The “Libs of TikTok” social media account posted photos of various statues destroyed by liberal and Black Lives Matter protesters in recent years, none of which brought charges of hate crimes.
“Violent activists have torn down dozens of statues including Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. The post stated: None of them were held accountable or charged with a hate crime. “Michael Cassidy knocks over devil statue made from household items and faces hate crime charges.”
The report adds: “Welcome to America’s two-tiered justice system.”

Democrats ignored the destruction of statues — but now they've found someone they actually care about
Polk County District Attorney Kimberly Graham is a Democrat and was an unsuccessful Senate candidate when she ran in the Democratic primary in 2020.
Now she fights on behalf of the Satanists against the Navy vets under the guise of protecting the former Dean.
And from the perspective of the Libs of TikTok, isn't it weird that it takes a statue that Democrats actually care about before they can pin a “hate crime” on someone?
Here is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) ignoring the destruction of the statue of Christopher Columbus in Baltimore, a man who is considered a 1,492 times more important historical figure.
A reporter asks about the Christopher Columbus statue in Baltimore: “Shouldn't that be done by a commission or a city council, and not by a midnight mob throwing it into the harbor?”

“People will do what they do,” Pelosi said. “If the community doesn’t want the statue there, the statue shouldn’t be there.”
We're guessing that people in Polk County overwhelmingly didn't want a statue of Satan there.
Elon Musk, CEO of X, formerly known as Twitter, responded to the story by asking a question on everyone's mind: “What happened to America?”
liberalism. This is what has become of America. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Liberals demanded that statues of George Washington be removed, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial be turned into a museum, and that parks named after Andrew Jackson be dedicated instead to honor Michael Jackson.
Then they actively worked to destroy those monuments.
In 2020, a group of non-peaceful protesters in Madison, Wisconsin, tore down a statue of Hans Christian Hege, a Norwegian-American immigrant who died fighting to end slavery during the Civil War.
Haig's statue was beheaded and thrown into the lake. The man who vandalized the statue was charged with a misdemeanor and placed on probation.
