Del Water Gap – the solo project of Samuel Holden Jaffe – has enlisted Holly Humberstone for new single 'Cigarettes & Wine'. Check it out below.
“Cigarettes and Wine is an ode to the long-distance transatlantic relationship,” Jaffe explained in a press release. “It's about finally having a moment with the person you've been missing so much, and the threads that keep you connected when you once again have to say goodbye.”
Humberstone added: “It's been so much fun working on 'Cigarettes & Wine' with one of my favorite artists. I first met Holden about three years ago at the beginning of my career when we played a show together at The Roxy in Los Angeles. It was a great time. My first in the US and I was a huge fan of Holden's music so I was star struck!Over the years I've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in the US, but I've definitely felt the pressure that long distance can put on relationships and I think that's something that can For so many touring artists to really relate to it…it's a very meaningful song to me, and being able to write it with one of my favorite writers was truly a dream and I hope people love it as much as we do.
Del Water Gap's second album, I miss you already + I haven't left yet, released last year on Mom+Pop. Holly Humberstone has released her debut LP, Paint my bedroom blackin October.
