Lana Del Rey has announced that she is working on a new country album. The singer-songwriter has confirmed her plans for a new album titled Lassoin paintingA pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Del Rey took the stage to honor Jack Antonoff, who is vying for his third straight win as Producer of the Year, Non-Classical at this year's Grammy Awards. “If you can't already tell our award winners and our artists, the music industry is going country,” Del Rey told the crowd. “We're going to the country. It happens. That's why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, for the past four years.
The new album will follow in 2023 Did you know there is a tunnel under Ocean Blvd, which earned the singer five Grammy nods, including Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. Her song “A&W” is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Alternative Music Performance, while “Candy Necklace” with Jon Batiste is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Back in December, Del Rey shared a cover of John Denver's classic song “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
