Dog power (2021), directed by Jane Campion, is a film based on the 1967 novel Dog power By Thomas Savage. By blood, Phil and George Burbank are wealthy ranchers in Montana in 1925. When George marries Rose with her son and moves in with them on the ranch, everything takes a turn. The Power of the Dog (2021) ends with an unexpected plot twist that will captivate audiences.

In addition to the excellent performances, direction, and atmospheric depiction of the American West, this film also presents themes of family dynamics, masculinity, and repressed emotions. In this film, Benedict Cumberbatch received several award nominations for his critically acclaimed role as Phil Burbank.

    1. Peter Gordon: [reading from the Psalms] “Deliver my soul from the sword. My beloved, from the power of the dog.”
    2. Peter Gordon: When my father died, I wanted nothing more than my mother's happiness. What kind of man would I be if I didn't help my mother? If I don't save her?
    3. Phil Burbank: Bronco Henry told me that a man is made of patience in the face of adversity.
    4. Rose Gordon: We are not out of reach.
    5. Rose Gordon: I've had to kind of live in this really painful, unsafe, terrible place, and feel bad about myself all the time, so it's not the most fun. But I'm doing it for Jane!
    6. Phil Burbank: You need to understand why these damaged people cause harm to others and themselves. Whether that's world leaders on stage — powerful men in politics who have risen again recently — or whether that's something in your own life or culture.
    7. Bronco Henry: “This saddle belongs to Bronco Henry, the greatest horseman I ever knew.”
    8. Phil Burbank: “Just know that a man's feeling for another person can run very deep. It happened between me and Bronco, and it shook my life, I can tell you that.”
    9. Phil Burbank: Yes…it was. It was more than that. Once, he saved my life. We were on our way up the ridge shooting elk, and the weather turned bad. The Bronco kept me alive by… pinning my body against mine in the bedpan. I fell asleep that way.
    10. Peter Gordon: Do you want me, Mr. Burbank? Phil Burbank: Well, I don't see any Mr. Burbank here. I'm an elephant.
