Sale of the Week: Jaylen Galloway (SYD) $154,300
While there are a few kings, we could have toppled them as the sale of the week; It has turned into a real fury trading area with Galway. After averaging 28.6 SuperCoach points per game at 1.08 points per minute to start the season, Galloway was arguably the pick of the season to start the year before his shoulder injury. In his second game back from injury, he immediately played over 20 minutes and picked up 27 SuperCoach points, which was enough to make us feel confident heading into the Kings' impressive schedule. During that period, he averaged 16 SuperCoach points at a rate of 0.68 points per minute. And to cap his spot as the sale of the week, he missed the last game due to a shoulder injury. Selling gal!
Other players to consider selling
Sydney Kings players
The Kings only have one game innings for the rest of the season. Jaylen Adams, Denzel Valentine, Jonah Bolden, and Jordan Hunter could all be replaced. When deciding whether to remove these players, consider their price and position eligibility as these factors may be useful in future trades as well.
South East Melbourne players
The South East Melbourne Phoenix also have one game remaining, so I've listed them here as candidates to sell based on schedule. However, I think the three highly owned players in Crick, Jack and Ayer can be held this week.
Benny breaks the tie
Each week, Penny will list some of the notable breakeven points for the coming week – players with low breakeven points are set to rise in prices while high breakeven points indicate an impending price drop. Contract of the Week: Bryce Cotton (PER) $457,100
The highest-owned player in each SuperCoach had an up and down week on his way to 66 SuperCoach points for the round. He was predictably dominant against an underpowered Phoenix team, but was held by the Hawks for the second time this season. He is currently the third most traded player at the time of writing; Therefore, we want to file a case to detain him. First, only two teams have a doubleheader this week, and each of those teams finish with back-to-back single-match rounds. For this reason, cotton can certainly start on its own and most competitions will do so. SuperCoach is averaging 40 points per game against their opponent in this round so far this season; With the exception of a few players who have played two games this round, are you sure they will beat Cotton despite having an extra game? More importantly, Perth are playing a doubleheader in the final round of the season, so you'll want Cotton back. Is it worth both the deals it will cost if you move the cotton this round? There's no need to be bold, just wait.
Other players to consider a contract
Mitch Creek (SEM) $403,200
Much like Cotton, Mitch Crick is a worthy player to start with a single this week. The selling case is that he plays against Melbourne United where he has picked up 18, 24 and 25 SuperCoach points in previous matches this season. Both SEM and United are in different situations compared to previous competitions. With United being less dominant and Crick now being a one-man show for the Phoenix. With a draw of 19, you have to ask yourself if you think you can get 30 SuperCoach points from Al Khor? If so, wait another week.
Ben Air (SEM) $196,000 GRD and Gorjok Gak (SEM) $161,000 FWD/CTR
Both Ayre and Gak were beneficiaries of the injury blight on Phoenix's roster. Jack has averaged 18 in his last 6 matches since returning from injury and has taken over the starting role in the absence of Alan Williams. Eyre averaged 20 over the same period with Gary Brown often missing and never being 100% in and out of the lineup. Both remain good options for the rest of the season and do not represent high-priority trades this week.
Banksy deals
Each week Banksy will rank his favorite cheap players (under $200k) regardless of schedule.
1. Ben Air (SEM) $196,000 GRD
With Gary Brown and Abdel Nader missing, Ben Air took full advantage. With the bonus opportunity, Ayre produced 65 SuperCoach points in the round to finish as sixth top scorer of the week – just one point behind Bryce Cotton! Ayre played 30 and 32 minutes in both SEM matches, scoring 23 actual points in each game after making a massive 34 shot attempts across the round. While Brown and Nader continue to sit, Ben will continue to score, and although the SEM doubles are over, BA is currently scoring at twice its current price.
2. Owen Foxwell (SEM) $129,900 total
Another beneficiary of Phoenix's undermanned roster is Owen Foxwell. After just one game of more than 17 minutes this season, he played 48 minutes off the bench in two SEM matches, producing 54 SuperCoach points, which ranked him 13th on the tour. Keep an eye on Brown and Nader's health this week.
3. Todd Blanchfield (ILL) $127,400 FWD/GRD
After racking up a season-high 25 minutes of action against the Breakers and a season-high 24 SuperCoach points against Perth in the final round, Blanchfield has averaged 17.5 SuperCoach points over his last 4 while being priced at 11. A great option for a down bencher Substitution which will continue to register you. Points down the home stretch. Along with the Breakers, the Hawks have the best remaining schedule over the final four rounds with three doubles coming.
4. Mantas Rubstavicius (New Zealand) $182,600 FWD
He was here last week and is still continuing to get things done while regularly seeing an extra 20 minutes of court time in most games. After a tougher game against the JackJumpers, Mantas scored 28 SuperCoach points against the Illawarra and is now averaging 19 points per game over his last 10 matches. Like Blanchfield, Mantas has had the bonus of three doubles over the last four rounds, making him an ideal candidate to move down the bench. .
5. Gorjok Gak (SEM) $161,000 FWD/CTR
Despite Gorjok's poor round, he still managed to beat his price by finishing with 41 SuperCoach points in Round 17. Although the score was lower than expected last week, the fact remains that he will have increased opportunity over the three weeks Past with Alan Sauce Williams on the ice for the remainder of the season.
He buys
Buy of the Week: Trey Kell (NZ) $378,700
Adelaide are one of only two teams, Tasmania the other, to have secured the double this week and with Kell's form he is our best buy of the week, something we probably never thought we would say at the start of this season. And while Trey's season didn't start out very exciting for SuperCoach purposes, he made up for it over the last few rounds. Averaging 41 SuperCoach points over his last 7 matches, including a 69-point SuperCoach triple-double a few weeks ago, and never scoring a score below 33 in that run of matches, he is the player most likely to land the double this season. the week. Despite its rather hefty price tag, it's now one that will definitely get at least a nod from Banksy leaders this week.
Boydie's Best Buys
With only Adelaide and Tasmania winning the double this week, those looking to win their A-League Finals match or maximize their overall ranking will be looking to these two teams for their exchanges this week, so let's focus on these two teams for something different.
1. Milton Doyle (TAS) $308,000 GRD
Now some may question Milton being at the top of our buy list, apart from our best buy for Kell of course, and they have a point as Doyle is averaging 27.7 SuperCoach points for the season, which isn't great but it's solid. Doyle is averaging 30.2 over his last 5 matches and has 38 and 36 points against Adelaide who are one of his opponents on the tour. His other opponent in this round is Cairns who had his highest score of the year 46 and his lowest score of the year 7 against her.
2. Gordon Crawford (TAS) $275,600 total
Even more controversial once again is that Gordon Crawford in second place had 7 points on 17th Street, yes that's right 7! But with scores of 34 and 35 against Adelaide and 34 and 26 against Cairns earlier this season, and a season high of 48 earlier in the season, we like Crawford's cap this week at a discount compared to other options.
3. Isaac Humphries (ADL) $339,200 CTR
A few weeks ago, Ice (Isaac) was looking like the best buy of the round, but SuperCoach's 16-point run in Round 17 put us off a bit. Is this just a passing blip and the Ice will return to their 4-game average of 37 SuperCoach points in the 4 games prior to Round 17? Who do you know? If you needed a midfielder, he would probably be the choice as he had a SuperCoach 39 points in that 4-game match against Sydney, one of Adelaide's opponents this week. Despite their previous matches of 17 against Sydney and 24 and 16 against Tassie, their other opponent in this round does not fill us with confidence.
4. Will Magnay (TAS) $280,600 CTR/FWD
SuperCoach's 36-run game in Round 17 against New Zealand has us ahead of Big Will Magnay on this tour, not only that, but he's averaged 30.6 in 3 matches. A 16 against Brisbane a few weeks ago scares us a little into moving him up the pecking order for this week. The red flag for Big Will is his 5 games and 17 SuperCoach points against Adelaide, one of Tassie's opponents this week.
5. Gorjok Gak (SEM) $134,500 CTR/FWD
With Alan 'Big Sauce' Williams out for the rest of the season, minutes were up for grabs for Gorjok and he did not disappoint in Round 16 with 44 SuperCoach points, well above the SuperCoach average of 11.8 during his injury-interrupted season. A great downgrade option to spend some money elsewhere for the SuperCoach Finals rounds.
If you want to look forward to this tour, we think you need to look at the following people:
1. Zilan Cheatham (New Zealand) $270,400
2. Sam Froehling (ILL) $348,200 FWD/CTR
3. Will McDowell White (New Zealand) $206,300 total
4. Gary Clark (ILL) $354,600
5. Parker Jackson Cartwright (New Zealand) $354,300 total
6. Bryce Cotton (per) $457,100 total
