Liberal singer Taylor Swift could influence the results of the 2024 presidential election, with a fifth of voters likely to back the candidate she supports, a shocking new poll has revealed.
SWIFT may influence the presidential election
A poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek showed that eighteen percent of voters stated that they were “more likely” or “much more likely” to vote for any candidate supported by Swift.
Meanwhile, 17% said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate supported by Swift, and 55% said they would not be swayed either way by the “Anti-Hero” singer. A total of 45 percent of people who responded to the survey said they were Swift fans, while 54 percent said they were not.
“It affected popular culture, sports, and the economy of entire regions of the United States,” communications consultant James Haggerty said. “So why not politics and elections?”
“Swift is in a class on her own,” media consultant Brad Adgett added. “She's so talented, so popular, so ingrained in popular culture. No one comes close to her.”
Swift has become more popular than ever in the past year, as she was named Time magazine's 2023 “Person of the Year,” and her romance with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce has boosted her NFL viewership. Furthermore, Swift's 2023 Eras tour became the first to cross the $1 billion mark.
“The power of celebrities in elections has grown because the power of celebrities themselves has grown,” Hagerty said. “The media and social media are now the central organizing framework for the lives of many Americans. In a world full of messages, it is the voices of celebrities that truly resonate.
“In a world where a reality show star can become president – and perhaps become president twice – this all makes perfect sense,” he added, referring to former President Donald Trump, who starred in the reality TV show “The Apprentice.” For nearly two decades.

Swift's anti-Trump views
This new poll will be bad news for Trump, as Swift has been open about being against him politically. Back in 2020, Swift accused Trump of “fanning the flames of white supremacy and racism” in response to comments he made condemning the violence that spread across the country in the wake of George Floyd's death.
“After fanning the flames of white supremacy and racism throughout your presidency, do you have the audacity to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?” she wrote on social media at the time, according to the Daily Mail. “When the looting starts, the shooting starts”??? We will vote for you in November. @RealDonaldTrump.
In her Netflix documentary “Miss Americana,” Swift spoke about how much she regrets not publicly opposing Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
“I like Taylor's music 25% less now,” Trump said in response.
Swift told The Guardian in 2020 that Trump “gaslights the American public.”
“We are a democracy — at least we're supposed to be — where you're allowed to disagree, to dissent, to debate,” she said at the time. “I really think he believes this is an authoritarian regime.”
Swift also accused Trump of cheating in the 2020 presidential election, Fox News reported.
“Trump’s deliberate dismantling of the USPS clearly proves one thing: He is well aware that we do not want him as our president,” she said. “He chose to blatantly cheat and put the lives of millions of Americans at risk in an attempt to cling to power.”

Biden is already courting Swift
The Mail reported that Swift endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and that his campaign is already seeking her endorsement this year in the hope that it will help attract young voters.
If Kelsey's team wins the Super Bowl next month, they'll get the traditional White House invitation to celebrate their victory, and Biden will no doubt seize the opportunity to woo Swift for her endorsement.
It's alarming that a pop star like Swift, a proud member of the liberal elite, would have such a significant impact on this year's presidential election. Anyone truly affected by Swift's political views should educate themselves on what is truly important to our country at this critical time.
