In a post on X, Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, Starlink, and Neuralink, revealed that the first human patient received a brain transplant from Neuralink.
“The first human received a Neuralink implant yesterday and is recovering well,” Musk said.
“Preliminary results show a promising discovery of neuronal spikes,” continued the Neuralink founder.
Musk founded Neuralink in 2016 with the goal of creating a connection between the human brain and computers.

According to Reuters:
The first human to receive a transplant from a brain-chip startup on Sunday is recovering well, Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Neuralink, said in a post, opens a new tab on the social media platform X on Monday.
Last year, the US Food and Drug Administration granted the company permission to conduct its first trial to test its implant on humans.
“Initial results show a promising discovery of neuronal spikes,” Musk added.
The startup's PRIME study is a trial of its wireless brain-computer interface to evaluate the safety of the implant and surgical robot.
The study will evaluate the functionality of an interface that enables people with quadriplegia, or paralysis of all four limbs, to control devices with their thoughts, according to the company's website.
Many X users are very skeptical of the new technology and have turned to X to share their belief that the new technology will lead to a transhumanist era.

The ultimate goal is transhumanism. A society connected via brain computer interfaces to a divine computer. Able to read and write to the brain. Neuralink can actually read and write….
