MSNBC host Joy Reid apologized to viewers after a hot mic broadcast her lewd off-camera comment about Joe Biden during Monday night's Reid Out show.
Reed was heard saying after showing a video of Biden talking about the border dispute with Congress: “Starting another fucking war!”
Reed was likely commenting on news that Biden is considering retaliatory strikes in the Middle East after Sunday's deadly drone attack on US forces at a base in Jordan that killed three Army reservists from Georgia and wounded dozens of soldiers.
Reed later apologized for the profanity, but not for insulting Biden, telling viewers:
“I just want to apologize real quick. Uh, I was chatting during a clip that was playing, and you know we're trying to keep this show at a PG-13 level. So I just want to apologize to anyone who was listening to my conversations backstage. Uh, we sincerely apologize, we apologize Hard about it, because you know it's PG-13 here.”
One home viewer took to the hot mic and apologized, posting videos on X Twitter:

In 2018, Reed infamously blamed hackers in non-PC blog posts about gays (excerpt from Medeiaite):
Mediaite has obtained a series of homophobic posts from Joy Ann Reid's old blog that she denies she actually wrote.
In an exclusive statement to Mediaite, the MSNBC host claimed that these posts from The Reid Report — which include a defense of homophobia, gay jokes, and outright mockery of gays and homosexuality — were somehow put together by an “outside party” who “manipulated the material.” From my now defunct blog.
While Reade apologized in December for writing homophobic content on a blog she ran long before her days as an icon of the #Resistance movement, she claims that these new posts opposing gay marriage and complaining about “the sight of two men kissing” were part of From a “fabricated” outside effort to portray her as “offensive and hateful”.
