Darlington braces for heavy rain throughout today (January 29)

The Met Office is forecasting heavy rain in Darlington today and have issued a yellow weather warning.
The rain began in the early hours of the morning and will continue throughout the day.
Throughout the day there is a 90% or more chance of heavy rain.
It will not be a windy day and the temperature will also be constant at 6°C throughout the day.
The maximum temperature will be 7°C and the minimum temperature will be 5°C, and the sun is scheduled to set at 16.38pm.

A Met Office spokesman said: “A cloudy and rainy day, with rain continuing throughout the day in most areas.
“This rain is likely to be heavy at times. Winds are light at first, but may become a bit brisk later. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 6 degrees Celsius.
“Rain continues to fall this evening, initially heavy at times, before easing during the night. Drier, clearer spells may emerge in the far northwest by dawn, where it could be freezing.”
