Alaska Airlines has been sued by two former Christian employees who claim they were subjected to religious discrimination for opposing the company's policies.

The airline has already made headlines after one of its plane's doors exploded mid-flight.

Former flight attendants Marley Brown and Lacey Smith say the company encouraged them to engage in “open and critical dialogue” regarding the Equality Act — but fired them for criticizing its far-left political activism on LGBT issues.

The lawsuit alleges that the women were fired for being “Christians with traditional Christian beliefs, including the belief that everyone should be treated with kindness and the belief that there are only two sexes.”

    The complaint continues:

Alaska Airlines promised a culture of open dialogue, encouraging employees to ask questions, have difficult and courageous conversations with each other, and share their diverse perspectives. However, when the plaintiffs relied on that promise and posted a comment on the company's employee-only message board questioning the company's support for the proposed equality law, Alaska Airlines disparaged their religious beliefs, treated them as a safety risk, and terminated them. fe then refused to reinstate them, treating them worse than flight attendants who were reinstated after making racist remarks in front of passengers, asking a co-worker to expose her breasts to a passenger, and inappropriately touching a woman on the plane. Fe's disdain for employees with traditional Christian beliefs is clear.

The former flight attendants are represented by Stephanie Taub, senior advisor to First Liberty Institute (FLI).

“I went to get to my agenda in the morning… I saw that Alaska had just posted an article saying Alaska supports the Equality Act,” Smith told Fox News on Friday. “There are a lot of different religious people who have issues with the Equality Act. And I think I had some questions with Alaska in terms of what that meant when they said things like, 'Alaska supports the Equality Act'… What does that mean for me?”

The lawsuit was filed in 2022, but FLI filed a motion for summary judgment on Wednesday. Besides Alaska, the complaint also mentions the Association of Flight Attendants.

Newsbusters reports, “Along with the allegations of this lawsuit, Alaska Airlines is also offering to refund travel costs of up to $4,000 to employees who wish to kill their unborn children. Wake Airlines also embraces diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and gender ideology. In fact, in a DEI statement issued in March 2023, the company strongly suggested that it engaged in racial discrimination in hiring.
