In new stringThe company behind the smart contract platform Algorand (ALGO) announced that the X account of Staci Warden, the company's CEO, had been hacked and warned against interacting with it.

Some of the hacker's messages include a reposted link to a recording titled “Puppets Destroyed Bitcoin” and a fake link. Claims The Warden was expelled from Algorand and lost its subsidiaries.
The Warden account hack marks the third time in January that bad actors have gone after the social media accounts of cryptocurrency executives or regulators.
On January 9, an exploiter gained access to the SEC's X account, falsely claiming at the time that the regulator had approved exchange-traded funds for bitcoin (BTC) in the spot market.
Furthermore, on January 18, a hacker took over supply chain-focused VeChain (VET) account
News of the hack does not appear to have had an impact on ALGO's price as the digital asset is trading for $0.167 at the time of writing, representing a 4.2% gain over the past 24 hours.
