News. It's emotional weather on Thursday. First, we'll start with the dense fog that will greet you throughout the area. Not for everyone, but there are a fair amount of foggy conditions out there. We will be in and out until 1:00. At least this afternoon. It's kind of a blurry day. We usually see heavy fog warnings end by 9am, but this will last a little longer. Our temperatures are moderate, especially in the 50s throughout the WLKY area. 59 now in the metro, 50 degrees in Seymour, 55 in Elizabethtown, somewhere cooler in Huntingburg to the west in Boise County at 48 degrees. We maintain moderate temperatures on both sides at 60 degrees all day long. So, in your daily chart, the numbers don't change much. We will move from fog and drizzle even in the middle of the day to occasional, with some steadier showers in the afternoon, and we will retain at least some scattered light showers into the evening, so conditions remain humid and also temperatures moderate even into the evening. Hours to come. Looking ahead, we see shower activity mainly falling early with fog, and then as we head into the afternoon, look at what's coming at us from the south. What's more, showers can be constant at times, and after more than an inch of rain yesterday, the ground is wet. Saturated, a lot of it will run out. So, it will be fairly wet across the area today again as we head into the evening hours. By 6:00, some. Thrillion, at least the more consistent rain is starting to taper off. But note that we still have some residual rain and some patchy drizzle tonight. I think we have a better chance of operating in drier air tomorrow. Now skies will be cloudy on Friday, and some patchy drizzle will be possible from the thickest of those clouds, but any rain that falls will be very light. So, this is a bit drier for Friday's temperatures. A little cooler at 52. We continue to trend into the weekend will drop into the 40s and we feel more like seeing more precipitation in January, especially late Saturday into Sunday morning. So some wet time continues into the weekend. It looks like next week will be drier. We will also start filtering out more sunlight. One of our coldest days on the 7th will be Monday at 40 degrees. We'll be back up to 50 by Wednesday, so it's not arctic cold, but we'll get started
