The ratings-challenged “Daily Show” is bringing back Jon Stewart to host the show one night a week during the 2024 election.
This is an obvious step and serves two purposes. First, leftists might start watching the Daily Show again. Second, Stewart will be used to attack Trump, Republicans, Fox News, and everything conservative. Just as he did for years as the show's host.
It'll be the same old, tired jokes that Colbert and Kimmel have been telling for years.

Jon Stewart returns to 'The Daily Show'
Longtime viewers of “The Daily Show” will once again see a familiar face in the hosting chair. NBC News has confirmed that Jon Stewart, who hosted the show from 1996 to 2015, will return to the show.
The news comes after more than a year of uncertainty in the search for a replacement for Trevor Noah, who just picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Talk Series. The comedian exited in 2022 after hosting for seven years. He took over from Stewart.
Stewart will host Monday nights until the 2024 election, then will continue as executive producer of each episode through the end of this year and the next, according to a Comedy Central press release. On days when Stewart is not hosting, The Daily Show will continue to rely on a rotating team of correspondents.

Without this positive action, Stewart wouldn't be able to survive, which is why he's starring on Apple TV+ and HBO. Stewart is nowhere near popular and doesn't have anything close to a following. The only time most of us saw Stewart was when the fake news media ran his clips over and over again as propaganda.
That's why Stewart was brought back. The left sees it as a political weapon, and that is how it will be used.
