After trying and failing to run for president not once but twice, Hillary Clinton knows what it feels like to be publicly snubbed. Maybe that's why it struck a chord with her yesterday when the feminist film became a hit Barbie Director Greta Gerwig and star Margot Robbie were both snubbed from the Oscars.
#Hillary Barbie
Gerwig and Robbie were front-runners to win the Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Actress for their work on Barbie, so it came as a huge shock when they weren't even nominated. While left-wing social media users felt devastated by the criticism, Clinton took to social media to offer her condolences to both women.
“Even though it may hurt to win at the box office but fall short of the gold, your millions of fans love you,” Clinton began with “Greta & Margot.”
“You two are so much more than Kenov,” she continued, borrowing a phrase from the film. She concluded her post by adding the nauseating hashtag “#HillaryBarbie.”
But unfortunately for Clinton, social media users had a field day mocking her over the hashtag #HillaryBarbie:

This came after Ryan Gosling was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Kane BarbieHe criticized the Academy for not nominating Gerwig and Robbie as well.
“There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making and globally celebrated film,” Gosling wrote on social media. “No one in the film would be able to be recognized without their talent, persistence and genius. To say I am disappointed they were not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement.
He added: “Against all odds, with nothing but a few soulless, naked dolls, thankfully, they made us laugh, broke our hearts, pushed culture and made history.” “Their work should be recognized alongside other very deserving nominees.”
America Ferrera, a woman who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in a film Barbiehad some choice words for the Academy despite her nomination.
“I was very disappointed that they were not nominated,” Ferreira told Variety. “Greta has done everything a director could do to deserve this. He created this world, took something that had no inherent value to most people and made it a global phenomenon. It's disappointing not to see her on that list.”
“What Margot has achieved as an actress is truly incredible,” Ferreira continued. “One of the things that sets Margot apart as an actress is how easy she makes everything look. People may be fooled into thinking the work looks easy, but Margot is magical as an actress in front of the screen, and it has been the honor of my career to watch her give the amazing performance that she did. She brings “So much heart and humor and depth and joy and fun to the character. In my book, she's a lady.”

Social media is melting
It should be noted that despite what Clinton, Gosling, and Ferrera said, Gerwig and Robbie actually an act received Oscar nods on Tuesday, but not the ones fans were hoping for. Gerwig was nominated for writing Barbieand Robbie was nominated for producing the film, which means they weren't completely snubbed.
You'd never know it from the way liberals are losing their minds on social media over their alleged snubs, but:
Clinton takes the time to comment on Barbie She shrugs by giving herself the hashtag #HillaryBarbie which is truly peak Hillary Clinton. In the end, all she's shown here is that she's lost the presidential election twice, is more desperate than ever to stay relevant, and it doesn't get more pathetic than that!
