In a display of unwavering determination, the Texas National Guard has redoubled its efforts to protect the border despite a recent Supreme Court ruling.

Governor Greg Abbott has made clear that Texas will not shrink in the face of opposition, saying: “Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden’s absence.”

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court, by a vote of 5 to 4, granted an emergency request filed by the Joe Biden administration arguing that Texas is preventing federal agents from carrying out their duties. The ruling allows federal agents to cut or remove razor wire installed on the southern border.

However, the Texas National Guard issued a statement saying they have no intention of backing down from their efforts to secure the border.

“The Texas Military Department continues to maintain its line at Shelby Park to deter and prevent illegal entry into the State of Texas. We remain resolute in our actions to secure our borders, maintain the rule of law, and protect the sovereignty of our nation,” they said in a statement.

Abbott posted a similar message on social media, concluding that “Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden's absence.”

The Texas National Guard will not back down

It is clear that the Texas National Guard is committed to holding the line and protecting the border at all costs.

In fact, video posted on social media shows them redoubling their efforts and erecting more razor wire in Eagle Pass, Texas, a hotbed for the crossing of illegal immigrants.

The Guard has taken control of Shelby Park for weeks, restricting the Border Patrol from access to the area and claiming federal agents are “perpetuating illegal crossings.”

They also appear to be using massive shipping containers as a temporary border wall, something Arizona tried to do before the Biden administration sued them and forced them to remove.

The Supreme Court ruling may have created a legal battle, but it also galvanized the resolve of Governor Abbott and the Texas National Guard.

This decision drew the ire of Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro (Texas), who laughably claimed that Abbott is creating chaos at the border (drop) and called on President Biden to take control of the Texas National Guard.

“Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and cause chaos at the border,” Castro said. “If Abbott challenges yesterday's Supreme Court ruling, [President Biden] He needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard now.

Castro, as is often the case, is wrong about his information. Barbed wire was implemented for exclude Chaos, crises and restoring order on the border.

However, in certain circumstances, the federal government can actually control a state's National Guard. This is known as “federalism” and is usually done through the use of the Insurrection Act.

That's right: Castro believes the Texas National Guard should be absorbed by the federal government because, as the Constitution says by law, they have the authority to “suppress insurrections.”

The people who want the rule of law and fair elections in this country are the enemy in the eyes of the Democratic Party, while the real enemy of this nation sits comfortably in the White House.

🚨Now: I'd love to see the Texas National Guard defy the Supreme Court ruling and raise more wire.

    Good for them! 🔥

Some Republicans are calling on Texas to ignore the Supreme Court's ruling on borders:

Some Republican lawmakers view the federal government's ongoing efforts to strip states of their right to defend the nation's borders as acts of aggression.

“The feds are waging a civil war, and Texas must stand its ground,” Rep. Clay Higgins (R-Los Angeles) said after the Supreme Court ruling.

So far they are. But would anyone be surprised if President Biden called in the military to control the border situation? By “control” we mean crushing the efforts of the Texas National Guard and opening the border as widely as possible.
