KVB announced their upcoming album, Trembling. Follow up until 2021 lonliness It is scheduled to be released on April 5 via Invada. Today, the band shared a new song titled Labyrinths, along with an accompanying video. Check it out and find the album's cover track list below.
“It's the most aggressive song on the album and a nod to some of our early releases,” the band said of “Labyrinths” in a statement. “Lyrically, it was inspired by the collection of short stories by Jorge Luis Borges and its references to historical subjectivity; the elasticity of truth and the construction of narratives.
They described the video as “a visceral assault on the nature of digital, CRT screens, and analogue glitch textures. We wanted the first single video to reflect the album's artwork and the energy of the edit to reflect the power of the song.”
KVB recorded the new album between Manchester and Bristol, recording it with James Trevaskos (Billy Nomatis, RVG). Thematically, they “expand on the album's previous themes of dystopia, the end of the world, and the human condition, but with a more pessimistic outlook and deeper distrust than before. It also touches on themes of loss, resistance, lament, and acceptance of inevitable change.”
