As millions of Americans pack up and travel home after the busy Thanksgiving holiday, FOX Weather keeps you updated on the weather, looking ahead to snow issues in the Plains to the Great Lakes on Saturday, and some rain in the Southeast.
Travel forecast for Saturday:
Moderate to heavy snow is expected in the central Plains on Saturday, moving across the southwest into northeastern Kansas, the Fox Forecast Center said. Total snowfall expected is 4-8 inches, incl Wichita And Topeka.
Snowfall will come with a storm WindIn addition, heavy snow falls at a rate of 1 inch per hour at times, which poses a danger Travel conditions.

Passengers heading to or from airports in the Midwest and West should watch for potential delays as the snowstorm continues to head east.
Kansas City International Airport (MCI), Denver International Airport (DEN) and Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ) could see impacts from the storm.
Road travel on Saturday
The FOX Forecast Center expects the snow to spread across the Plains with Kansas bearing the brunt of it. Slick roads, including Interstates 70 and 35, appear increasingly likely and will cause minor to moderate impacts to travel after Thanksgiving.
Both the east and west coasts are looking great weather-wise with mostly sunny skies in the forecast.
Some rain may appear again across Florida as well as parts of Texas with minimal impacts to travel.

Travel forecast for Sunday
The storm system currently impacting the Rocky Mountains and Plains will move farther east by Sunday and is expected to bring some snow and rain to the Midwest and Great Lakes region.
For this reason, some delays and cancellations are possible at airports such as Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). Rain is also expected along the Gulf Coast, which could cause problems at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) on Sunday.
How to watch Fox Weather
Land travel on Sunday:
Aside from light snow in the Great Lakes and around Chicago, light rain will push through from Texas across the mid-Atlantic ahead of a weak cold front, according to the FOX Forecast Center.
Rain could also slow travel on roads in the Southeast as well as across the Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio valleys on Sunday.
