The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory Monday night into Tuesday morning, as freezing rain is expected in Stark County.
The advisory, in effect from midnight to noon Tuesday, covers northcentral Ohio, northeastern Ohio, northwestern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania.
Light icing is possible on untreated and raised surfaces. Motorists are advised that roads may be slippery during their commute Tuesday morning. Total ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible.
“Slow down and use caution when traveling,” the Advisory Weather Service says.
The precipitation is expected to turn to rain early Tuesday afternoon.

The Meteorological Authority expects temperatures to rise above average later in the week. Last week's 3 to 4 inches of snowfall in the Canton area will melt into memory as Thursday's high temperature is expected to reach 50 degrees.
