FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – The University of Arkansas has been named one of the “Best Colleges for Future Leaders,” according to Time magazine’s inaugural list.

U of A is ranked as the 59th best college for “future leaders” on the list. The university was the only university from the Natural State to make the list.

Research teams at TIME and Statista analyzed the resumes of 2,000 top U.S. leaders including CEOs and politicians to put together a list of the top 100 colleges for this category.

TIME says the list is weighted by school size, and many of the larger universities “have prominent business and law programs” or large research programs.

Neighboring Missouri has two universities on the list, the University of Missouri at No. 34 and Washington University in St. Louis at No. 47.

The top five universities listed were Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
