A deranged woman was caught on tape intentionally running over an NYPD officer in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon. But she is not accused of murder despite her bragging about how she wanted to teach him a “lesson.”
As the New York Post reported, 24-year-old Sahara Dula was driving her black Lexus the wrong way on the Upper East Side while high on marijuana when she collided with an NYPD officer.
The incident occurred minutes after police responded to an unrelated robbery at an upscale clothing store on the Upper East Side.
The footage shows Dula, a graduate of the College of Criminal Justice, driving her Lexus the wrong way on Park Avenue near East 71st Street around 4:30 p.m., the newspaper notes. The road was closed so police could investigate the aforementioned robbery.
An officer walks up to Doula's car to force her into the right lane. But Doula instead fired gas and struck the officer directly, sending him rolling onto the hood of her Lexus and landing in the street.
He watches:

This is what happens when you convince people that cops are the enemy. awesome.

Officers come to help their comrade as he lies on the ground in pain. The newspaper reported that the fallen officer suffered a broken leg and bruises in multiple areas of his body as a result of the accident.
After her horrific assault, Doula bragged that she deliberately hit the policeman because he wouldn't move and needed to teach him a lesson.
I told the policeman I wanted to go straight, and he didn't move, so I hit him. I did it intentionally.
Damn those cops, he won't move! Fuck those cops, it's a lesson for him, and hopefully he won't want to be a cop anymore.
Dula also admitted that she smoked marijuana, according to Lucy Shepherd, an assistant U.S. attorney in Manhattan.
Despite her sick and reckless behavior, Dula was not charged with attempted murder. The newspaper revealed that Dula was instead charged with attempted first-degree assault, attempted aggravated assault on a police officer, second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, operating a vehicle while ability impaired by drugs and reckless driving.
Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry issued a statement expressing that he could not understand why Doula was not charged with attempted murder.
We're glad this guy is staying in prison, but we don't understand why he hasn't been charged with attempted murder.
