Democratic New York Rep. Dan Goldman tried to lecture a woman who lost her daughter to fentanyl coming across the southern border, but she turned the tables and made him look like a fool, not that it's particularly difficult to do.
She pointed out to him that Border Patrol agents are forced to prepare sandwiches for illegal border crossers instead of doing their real work.
She also indicated that she had gone to the border and asked him if he had visited. This was part of the impeachment hearing for Alejandro Mayorkas, and Goldman actually told this woman that she was not qualified to be there.

GOLDMAN: At first, I thought we were at a gun violence hearing, where we were talking about the recurring thoughts and prayers of the two mass shootings that happen every day. But I just want to take some action, to turn compassion into action. Because I suppose, MS. Dan, you agree with that – right? It would help stop the trade and trafficking of fentanyl from entering this country if we had more law enforcement officers at the border, and more resources and technology to stop the entry of fentanyl. do you agree?
Dan: I disagree with that, because the Border Patrol is now used to make sandwiches and screen people and let them into our country. So I don't agree with you.
GOLDMAN: So you're saying that – so you're saying that you're upset that the Border Patrol isn't making sandwiches, I think you said that, so you don't think it would be helpful to have more Border Patrol officers who are you accused of stopping the fentanyl trade?
Dan: I would like the Border Patrol to be able to do the job they were hired to do. Every Border Patrol officer I've spoken to has told me that their hands are tied by this administration and Mr. Mayorkas. You've gone to the border, sir. Do? Do?

It's surprising that Goldman felt comfortable talking to this woman in this way. What's wrong with him?
