AHLA launches T100, which brings together leading technology experts to advance the hospitality industry through innovative technology solutions to enhance the guest experience.
The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) recently unveiled the Global Technology 100 (T100), a leading group of the world's leading experts in hospitality technology. This initiative aims to guide the global hotel industry towards the effective use of advanced technology to enhance guest services and increase profits.
The T100 initiative is a consolidation of three previously separate AHLA advisory groups: the HTNG Executive Leadership Group, the Supplier Advisory Council, and the Industry Advisors. This consolidation under the T100 umbrella enables more efficient collaboration and accelerated decision-making among its members.
Through T100, AHLA is committed to keeping pace with new technological developments that can elevate guest experiences and profitability. The group will also create and disseminate best practices and resources to advise AHLA members.
T100 leadership consists of five distinguished hospitality technology experts:
- Scott Strickland, executive vice president and chief information officer, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, serves as president.
- Luis Segredo, CEO of DataTravel LLC, has been named vice president.
- Christy Gushue, Chief Commercial Officer of KSL Resorts, serves as Immediate Past President.
- Jeff Bzduka, CEO of Knowland, assumes the responsibilities of head of program and membership.
- Brian Hammer, Vice President of Information Technology at Belmond, served as chair of the working group.
The leadership position will rotate within the group to ensure diverse perspectives on technology issues, with the aim of finding solutions that benefit hoteliers and solution providers.
“The T100 is about ensuring our industry leverages the latest technologies to better serve guests, colleagues and communities, while maximizing profitability,” said Chip Rogers, AHLA President and CEO. “This group is made up of some of the best hospitality technology leaders on the planet, and together they will serve as a key driver of innovation across our industry.”
