Istanbul Basaksehir FC imposed a fine on Israeli midfielder Eden Karzev, after he posted on social media in support of his compatriots being held hostage in Gaza.
Karzev posted a slogan on Instagram calling for “Bring them home now,” referring to the hostages.
Basaksehir said His position “violates the sensitive values of our country.”

Cezkel, who signed for Antalyaspor in September, was celebrating the equalizer in a Turkish Super League match on Sunday when he raised his bandaged hand with the words “100 days. 7/10” written on it.
