Hollywood star Rob Reiner of “All In The Family” fame took to social media on Tuesday to launch a truly vile attack on Christian supporters of Donald Trump.

I'm sure Rob Reiner is still inconsolable after Trump's caucus win in Iowa.

    Reiner attacks Trump's Christian supporters

Reiner took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to respond to Trump's caucus win in Iowa on Monday night to say he doesn't understand how any Christian could support the former president.

“Jesus told us to do to others what you want them to do to you,” Reiner wrote. “How can anyone who believes in the teachings of Jesus in God’s name support Donald Trump?”

Jesus told us to do to others what you would have them do to you. How can anyone who believes in the teachings of Jesus in God's name support Donald Trump?

    Reiner gets hit again

But unfortunately for Reiner, it didn't take long for this to blow up in his face.

“If you believed in Jesus you would know,” said Oscar-nominated Hollywood star Randy Quaid books As a response.

“You support Joe Biden, you have no right to talk about Jesus or the Bible,” another X user Commentwith a third writing“President Trump has brought prosperity to the United States. He has also brought peace. Biden has brought war, a collapsed economy, and invaded borders. It is clear to any honest person that Trump is better for our country than Biden. That is why Biden's popularity is so low. We need Trump now!”

Reiner is currently preparing for the release of his documentary in February God and countryWhich aims to warn the public of the dangers of what he describes as “Christian nationalism.” In fact, the documentary is part of Reiner's quest to expose right-wing Christians by claiming that they pose the greatest threat to democracy.

“Christian nationalism is not only a danger to our country, it is a danger to Christianity itself,” Reiner said Written on X Last month. “Our film will come to theaters in February.”

    Joy Reid attacks “white Christians”

Reiner's latest comments came after MSNBC host Joy Reid responded to Trump's victory in the Iowa caucus by shaming “white Christians.”

“I feel like the important data point…is that these are white Christians,” she said. “This state is overrepresented by white Christians who will be in the caucuses.”

Reed went on to claim that “white Christians” don't care about Trump's electability.

“When you believe that God gave you this country, and that it is yours, and that everyone who is not a white Christian or a conservative is a fraudulent American, a less real American, then you don't care about electability,” she said. He said, according to the Daily Mail. “You care about what God has given you.”

Reed later called on Democrats to acknowledge that “white evangelicalism” had turned into “Christian nationalism.”

“White evangelical Christians are of a certain mindset… [think] “They own this country,” she said. “The immigrants, these brown-skinned people, the Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife, are illegal Americans. They are less legitimate Americans than they are.”

“They are not trying to convince people and win them over through politics,” she added. “What they say is: We own this country, and everyone will bow down to us.”

Joy Reid teased that Iowa is full of white Christians:

“These are white Christians. This is a state that is overrepresented by the white Christians who are participating tonight. This is an overrepresented white evangelical state.” pic.twitter.com/HtesCj9Pc3
