New information shows the Biden administration lied about Texas preventing border agents from providing aid to drowning migrants at the southern border.

Recent reports have highlighted an alarming incident involving the drowning of a woman and two children on the southern border near Eagle Pass, Texas.

The Joe Biden administration initially claimed that Texas officials prevented US Border Patrol agents from trying to provide emergency aid to drowning migrants.

The allegation stems from a move by the Texas National Guard to take control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, a city property where illegal mass crossings occur, and restrict the Border Patrol from accessing the area. The Policy Insider newspaper reported that the guards seized the park last week.

A White House spokesperson issued a statement specifically stating that agents were “prohibited” from assisting these illegal aliens who were in distress.

“Friday night, a woman and two children drowned near Eagle Pass, and Texas officials prevented the US Border Patrol from attempting to provide emergency assistance,” the spokesman said.

The Biden administration lied about Texas officials preventing emergency aid for drowning migrants

White House officials and Democrats insisted on blaming Texas for the drowning of migrants, specifically the state's Republican governor, Greg Abbott.

A White House spokesman pointed the finger at Abbott's “political stunts”, which he described as “cruel, inhumane and dangerous.”

Likewise, a Department of Homeland Security official confirmed that Border Patrol agents were “physically blocked” by Texas officials from entering the area when “responding to a distress call from the Mexican government.”

CBS quickly published a news story that migrants drowned at the border because the state of Texas “physically prevented” the Border Patrol from rescuing them.

the problem? This was not true, as the Justice Department under Biden acknowledges. Title updated with editor's note. pic.twitter.com/Iin09KfsDj

Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro (Texas) claimed to NPR that Abbott is “bloodthirsty.”

“Intentionally preventing people from saving a drowning mother with her children – this is bloodthirsty,” he said in a false smear of the Texas governor. “You know, this is 'Lord of the Flies'.”

But none of these accusations were true. In fact, it was refuted by President Biden's Department of Justice.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has since confirmed that the migrants had indeed drowned an hour before the Texas National Guard was informed of the situation.

In a Supreme Court filing over the weekend, the Biden administration wrote that the U.S. Border Patrol was not aware of the tragedy until an hour after it occurred — at which time they claimed the Border Patrol “requested access to the site…to secure additional migrants.” “Travelling with the deceased.

A day later, administration officials admitted that Mexican authorities, not Texas, had rescued the couple.

The Biden administration has once again pushed a false narrative on the border, which has now been refuted by its own Department of Justice.

Just like the false “skin” claims

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin compared the false narrative about illegal immigrants drowning to disinformation about Border Patrol agents “flogging” illegal immigrants from Haiti.

The story of Haitian immigrants being flogged as of 2021 never happened. It was a media lie from the beginning, spread by a Democratic communications strategist who had no idea how horses and/or bridles worked, and was willing to share the photo from a questionable angle.

What's unfathomable is the stupidity involved in thinking you'll get away with lying.

However, the truth was quickly revealed. The agents were eventually cleared of any criminal wrongdoing, as it was revealed that they were using the reins to control their horses – not “flog the migrants”.

Even Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was eventually forced to correct the record on the matter once and for all.

Mayorkas corrects April Ryan when she talks about “the whipping of Haitians with horse reins,” noting that “the investigation concluded that the whippings did not occur.”

“This, like the ‘whipping’ allegations by horseback patrol, became a false narrative, generating headlines alleging that Texas blocked federal rescue efforts, leading to three migrants drowning,” Melogen wrote on X.

“The Department of Justice now confirms that these migrants were dead for an hour before Texas was alerted about it.”
