Walgreens is closing a store in a low-income neighborhood in Boston due to rampant theft and the anger of people who live there. They are actually protesting the store due to news of the closure.
This is a familiar series of events in liberal cities. The Democrats who run the city allow theft and do not punish the criminals. Then the store decides to close it down and suddenly everyone is angry at the store instead of the people who actually caused the problem.
This will happen in more and more cities until Democrats decide they want to punish crime.
From Western Magazine:
As Walgreens prepares to close a store in Boston's crime-ridden Roxbury neighborhood, residents are angry.
“Walgreens is critical, not only to this community but to the surrounding communities and seniors,” Pastor Minyard Culpepper said during a protest Friday outside the pharmacy, according to WBZ-TV.
The store is scheduled to close on January 31. The closest Walgreens location that will remain for Roxbury residents is about a mile away.
Customer Lucille Culpepper Jones, who is advocating for the store to remain open, said she couldn't visit the nearest Walgreens because she wouldn't feel safe walking alone, according to the Boston Globe.
The store's closure comes as retail theft is on the rise in many urban areas.
Here is the video report:

Here are some reactions:
It is not the responsibility of companies to accept financial losses, especially if communities refuse to do anything https://t.co/BiS2Vhkfn1

The idea that a major corporation should lose money for the benefit of the community from which it was stolen is absolutely stupid. https://t.co/fyppHQEZIp

It's not Walgreens' fault that Boston won't put people in jail for theft. It is not Walgreens fault that the community will not police itself. https://t.co/NfDuJU22b6

People in this neighborhood need to direct their anger at their local political leaders, not Walgreens.
