A 'healthy' middle-aged actor has died too soon, leaving his beloved fiancée devastated.
As TMZ reported, “All My Children” actor Alec Moser died suddenly Friday night at his home in Del Mar, California. He was only 50 years old.
Moser's fiancée, Paige Press, revealed that he was suffering from a “severe case of the Coronavirus” despite being fully vaccinated and boosted, as Fox News noted. She suspects coronavirus was the cause of Moser's death.
The press mourned Moser's passing on her Instagram page:
He was a very healthy person. I mean he took exceptional care of his body and what he put into it. He was eating some cookies and it was the worst thing I've ever seen him do.
Alec was a great guy. He was the best orator. Best dog dad. A very kind-hearted person. Seeing how many messages and people have reached out to me since his childhood… In the last couple of days, people I've never met have sent me pictures of him in high school and when he was at a wedding there. He was much loved and touched by many people.
Star actor and comedian Adam Sandler, who worked with Moser on “Grown Ups,” released the following statement on social media to mourn Moser's tragic death.
I loved this man. I can't believe he's gone. Such a wonderful and funny good man.
Thinking of Alec Moser and his family and sending them all my love. A great true lover of a person.
Moser appeared on “All My Children” for 43 episodes between 2005 and 2007. As the New York Post reported, Moser landed the role after winning the second season of the SOAPnet original series “I Wanna Be a Soap Star.”
He has been in movies and TV shows like Desperate Housewives, Road to the Altar, and the aforementioned Grown Ups.
Moser was also a model in addition to acting. He has traveled all over the world and modeled for high-profile clients such as Gianfranco Ferré, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Speedo, and Target.
Born in New York City in 1973, Moser moved to California after graduating from Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, and attending the University of San Diego.
