Jodi Colvin and Elisha Robinson, both 23, were reportedly sentenced to 12 years and nine months in prison for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old woman on January 12, 2024.
The investigation, which was launched in response to a reported incident, revealed horrific details about the alleged assault. The victim, whose identity was protected, was forced to eat human feces, was doused with acid and hot water, had her face beaten, and was allegedly penetrated without consent.
The victim was kidnapped in Norwich city center on February 6, 2023, and taken to Colvin's home in the village of Mulbarton. She was allegedly mentally and physically abused by Jodi Colvin, Elisha Robinson and a boy whose identity remains unknown for legal reasons.
Why did Jodie Colvin and Elisha Robinson assault the victim?
On February 6, 2023, the trio of Jodi Colvin, Elisha Robinson and an unidentified boy allegedly conspired to meet the victim at a cinema in Norwich that evening. They kidnapped her and took her to a one-story house, where she was allegedly tortured for seven hours.
As Norwich Crown Court reported, the women were high on cocaine and sent messages to each other about how to torture the 21-year-old victim.
Furthermore, the two women reportedly filmed each other while torturing her and later searched online for multiple ways to kill her and how to dispose of the body.
The reported reason for the victim's alleged abuse was her friendship with a 15-year-old.
The victim gave a statement in court and said nothing would ever be the same. She said:
“I'm having a really hard time understanding how one human being could treat another human being the way he was treated. Why did this happen to me? I can barely sleep because I keep reliving the whole thing, and if I sleep, I wake up with recurring nightmares.”
She further added,
“The impact of the attack and the damage it caused to me and my family will last forever. Nothing will ever be the same again.”
However, Jodi Colvin and Elisha Robinson were both sentenced to 12 years and nine months in prison after admitting assault by penetration and engaging the victim in sexual activities without their consent.
The 17-year-old boy, along with the two women, were sentenced to six years in a youth detention center for engaging in false imprisonment, sexual activities, bodily harm and pouring acid, resulting in murder. An “extremely traumatic” experience for the victim.
At 05:30 a.m. on February 7, 2023, the trio left the house with a baseball bat and threatened the victim not to tell anyone about what happened, or they would kill her sister.
The victim showed courage and raised the alarm in a nearby house before calling the police and emergency services. Later the same day, the three were arrested at Robinson's home in the village of Attleboro.
Norfolk Police Detective Sergeant Tom Cole, who led the investigation, said after the hearing:
“This was a horrific, calculated and vicious attack over the course of several hours. I want to thank her for showing such courage and courage to tell us what they did to her. I hope this sentencing provides some closure and some justice.”
However, the sentencing judge, Andrew Shaw, said:
“How you can treat another human being this way is beyond me.”
Who are Jodie Colvin and Elisha Robinson?
Jodi Colvin and Elisha are two 23-year-old young women. They are college friends and have known each other for a long time. However, they knew the victim through mutual relationship. The young women were unhappy with the victim's friendship with a 15-year-old. Colvin and Robinson both lived in Attleborough, Norfolk, England.
But they were arrested on February 7, 2023, and sentenced to prison on January 12, 2024.
