My son Gonzalo Lira died in a Kharkiv hospital between 11-12 noon Ukrainian time yesterday, January 11, 2024.
I cannot accept the way my son died. He was tortured, blackmailed, and held incommunicado for 8 months and 11 days, and the US Embassy did nothing to help my son. (Responsible for) this tragedy is Dictator Zelensky with the approval of senile US President Joe Biden.
Please read his attached file from the kangaroo court hearings and you will see that the charges were a political matter and that Biden gave the green light to that bloody dictator to put my son in prison. My pain is unbearable. The world should know what is going on in Ukraine with that inhuman dictator Zelensky.
If you believe in democracy and decency, let the world know what they did to a very decent and intelligent man who predicted that Ukraine would never win the war against Russia and that financial sanctions would backfire on the United States.
Gonzalo Lira Sr. posted a link to all the Ukrainian court documents accusing Gonzalo Lira of “spreading Russian propaganda.”
In a private email to Gonzalo Lira's father, the US State Department acknowledged that it was aware of Lira's hospitalization by at least December.

“I'm sure sociopaths would argue, in fact, that the lira is worth it,” U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) wrote on Twitter. “But count me as one of those who thinks our welfare agents shouldn't be executing our citizens.”

Speaking to reporter Luke Rudkowski, US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said it was “disgusting” that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky allowed an American journalist to die in prison. “Pro-war Republicans, Lindsey Grahams and Nikki Haleys, where do they stand on this? … It should shock our conscience that you don't hear members of the establishment of either party care.”

This puppet in Putin's hand is only the first. Russia's criminal war propagandists will do just that Everyone will be chased“Justice will be done because we in Ukraine lead this mission with faith in God, freedom and complete liberation,” Cirillo said.

Vance sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, asking whether Cirillo was being paid with U.S. funds. “I fear that US resources are supporting violence or the threat of violence against people for expressing their opinions,” Vance wrote. “It is noteworthy that any critic of America's incoherent Ukraine policy has been vilified as a propagandist, including many US presidential candidates and journalists. While we can debate the merits of these accusations, engaging in protected expression should not lead to threats of violence – Otherwise the First Amendment means nothing.
New Yorker Cirillo, born in Florida, came to Ukraine as a correspondent at the beginning of the war in March 2022, initially working in the government's propaganda center. Media Center Ukraine.

It is imperative that “Sara” Cirillo be investigated and prosecuted for her role in the arrest and death of journalist Gonzalo Lira. In May 2023, Cirillo threatened: “We are coming for you.” Cirillo mocked Lira upon his arrest and met him in prison in September.
