Lava flowed into the Icelandic town of Grindavik, which was evacuated after a volcano spewed orange smoke into the night sky and spewed molten rock from the Reykjanes Peninsula.
The fissure has overtaken barricades put in place to protect the city, with the country's prime minister calling it a “very dangerous situation” and a senior official saying it is a “worst-case scenario.”
