Joe Biden stopped Saturday to speak with reporters spread out on the South Lawn as he departed for Camp David, the presidential retreat at Catoctin Mountain Park in Maryland, for another weekend.
Journalists asked Joe Biden about the escalation with Iran, the border crisis and Ukraine.
Biden has denied there is a crisis on the southern border despite the invasion of an estimated 11 million illegal aliens – mostly males of military age from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East – on his watch.
“Can the situation on the southern border be described as a ‘crisis’?” a reporter asked Biden.
He blamed Republicans.
“I've been pushing them… my Republican colleagues since I took office. I think we have to make big changes to the border. I've been pushing for that. I'm ready to make big changes to the border. We've been negotiating for the past five weeks,” Biden said. “The past, so I hope we can achieve that.”
Joe Biden also warned Republicans against funding Ukraine.
Last month, House Republicans blocked funding for Ukraine. On Friday, Democrats rejected Prime Minister Johnson's request to secure the southern border in exchange for funding from Ukraine.
“If my Republican colleagues don’t fund Ukraine, they will have a lot to pay for,” Biden said.
The Biden regime has already provided Ukraine tens of billions of dollars in military aid over the past two years with no end in sight.
