Reporter Laura Loomer confronted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at his hotel in Iowa on Friday.
Loomer asked him about being an absentee governor, when he plans to exit the race, and more.
DeSantis appeared nervous as he ignored the questions and entered the elevator.
“I confronted DeSantis as he entered his hotel, hid from me inside the hotel store and used his staff, including @Kelly_Kundinger, to physically block me,” Loomer wrote about the incident in a post on X. The platform formerly known as Twitter. “His staff also had me push and pull my clothes so DeSantis could get away from me and run to the elevator.”

Lemire continued:
I asked DeSanctus if he plans to endorse President Trump when DeSantis loses the caucus in Iowa on Monday, January 15, 2024.
I asked him why he was an absentee governor who unethically changed the law in Florida so he could run for president on taxpayer money and keep his governor's salary while abandoning Floridians during multiple storms and an insurance crisis.
I asked him why he always backs down despite naming his own political action committee [Never Back Down].
I also asked DeSantis when he would drop out of the 2024 presidential race since he received 14% in Iowa, and 5% in New Hampshire.
“Ron DeSantis ran away from me and was terrified to see me!” Lumiere added.
The DeSantis campaign removed Loomer from an event last week and called the police on her.
“Ron DeSantis called the cops and told me to get off his campaign trail in Iowa tonight even though I have a ticket!” Lemire wrote.

Loomer continued, “I was just removed from the @RonDeSantis presidential campaign event in Ankeny, Iowa and a police officer threatened me with arrest even though I had a ticket. I called the restaurant called 'Who's On 1st' in advance and they confirmed the restaurant was open to the public upstairs, but… @RonDeSantis called the cops on me because he didn't want me to ask him, @chiproytx, @RepThomasMassie and @bobvanderplaats question why @RonDeSantis says the J6ers are not patriots, and why he allowed Capitol Police to have an office in Tampa, FL to go after Trump supporters.
She added: “I was told that if I return, I will be taken to prison.”
Loomer also offered a cash reward to citizen journalists who confront DeSantis and Healey.
The journalist is offering cash prizes totaling $2,000 — $250 per video, with up to eight winners — to “whoever can film themselves peacefully confronting and asking a relevant question.”
“Maybe you can ask Nikki Haley about her infidelity, or you can ask Ron DeSantis why he supports seizing land from Iowa farmers through royalty. Or you can ask your own questions based on my reporting on Loomered.com!” Loomer wrote about the contest in Posted on X website.

The post continued: “This is a fun and easy way to get involved and support President Donald Trump in the primaries and to make sure he gets on the ballot in November. Have you ever wanted to try citizen journalism but never found the right way to get started? Well, here's your chance!”
Since announcing the competition, Halle has stopped taking audience questions at her events.
