“At Genesis, we take pride in offering world-class products with impeccable design and the highest standards of safety and performance,” Claudia Marquis, Chief Operating Officer, Genesis Motor North America. “We are delighted to support these wonderful organizations as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative, Genesis Gives. Every child should have access to quality youth sports programs that allow them to be active and develop their character in an environment that is safe and thriving.”

For the second year in a row, Genesis is partnering with organizations that make an impact on children’s lives across the country, by increasing access to youth sports programs through the Genesis Gives initiative. Physical activity is critical to a child’s health and development – it reduces the risk of developing health conditions such as obesity, cancer and heart disease. Physically active students are also shown to have improved cognitive performance, such as stronger focus and memory. It is shown that children who play sports get better grades and attendance at school. Children who participate in structured youth sports programs learn the additional benefits of teamwork and improved social skills.

“First Tee is proud to have so many alumni in the field at this year’s Genesis Invitational, and we are very grateful to Genesis for their support,” said First Tee CEO. Greg McLaughlin. “This money will not only help the next generation of golfers, but also the leaders who will continue to make a difference off the course.”

The following organizations have received donations from: $100,000 all:

    • First starting point: For more than 25 years, First Tee has empowered young people of all backgrounds with the drive, self-confidence, and resilience needed to succeed in life and overcome adversity. By integrating life skills training and a values-based curriculum with golf, as well as offering many other personal development opportunities, First Tee helps children realize what they can achieve and achieve their goals.
    • The YMCA of United States of America: The Y is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth empowerment, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages, and inspiring action in and across communities. Their programs and services enrich the lives of children across the country. By providing access to a variety of athletic and recreational programs to more than 500,000 young athletes, Y helps children reach their full potential by teaching the benefits of teamwork, connecting them with positive role models, and creating healthy living practices in an inclusive environment.
    • good sport Good Sports is a leading advocate for youth participation in sports programs, with the goal of providing equitable access to all children – especially those in high-needs communities. Good Sports believes that all children should have access to the positive benefits of sports, and therefore makes donations of brand-new athletic equipment, apparel, and other resources needed by organizations that typically serve people who are underrepresented in sports.
